Computer Graphics Assignments
Four assignments from UIC's CS 425 written in JavaScript and WebGL, from rasterizing triangles to a recursive ray tracer. Each one runs live in the browser.
The four assignments of CS 425, UIC’s computer graphics course: getting triangles on screen with WebGL, building terrain meshes and camera transformations, lighting them in shaders, and finally writing a ray tracer from scratch.
Every assignment page has the results, an explanation of what I implemented, and the original program embedded so you can try it.
1 · JavaScript and WebGL Triangle meshes loaded from JSON and drawn with WebGL, like a photo of the UIC campus turned into a low-poly image.

2 · Meshes and transformations Terrain meshes reconstructed from elevation maps, with orbit, zoom, pan, projections and wireframe mode.

3 · Lighting and shading Per-vertex normals, a normal visualization mode and per-pixel Phong shading with directional and point lights.

4 · Ray tracing A CPU ray tracer with Blinn-Phong shading, shadows and recursive reflections, reading scenes from JSON.
